Afresh reduces food waste for grocers

Afresh uses AI to help grocers order the right amount of fresh food. A study of pilots using Afresh and another AI ordering system found 14.8% less food waste per store on average. In April 2026, Afresh reported that its system was in use in more than 12,500 grocery departments across 40 U.S. states.
