Claude helps people build software faster
Claude and Claude Code help people build software and automate everyday work. Anthropic's April 2026 report drew on interviews with 80,508 Claude users collected in December 2025. Among those who described an effect on their productivity, 48% said AI helped them do new kinds of tasks and 40% said it helped them work faster. Rakuten reports that its average time to deliver a software feature fell from 24 working days to five with Claude Code. Anthropic's June 2026 Economic Index also documents Claude Code use for software development and personal projects.
